SmartNet is your micro carrier for the Borderlands: safe WiFi at home, clean internet for seniors, and border-friendly connectivity for vans, trucks and IoT devices – with one local partner you can call.
In partnership with providers like Novatel, SmartNet is being set up to combine broadband, mobile and filtered WiFi options for both ROI and NI. Details and tariffs are finalised together during your setup call.
Focus region: Cavan, Fermanagh, Monaghan, Leitrim – and the wider Midlands, Lakelands & Heartlands along the border.
What SmartNet aims to provide
- • Safe, filtered WiFi at home – no explicit content, no violence for kids & seniors.
- • Options for bundled data & mobile for IE / NI border regions.
- • Strong WiFi and repeaters for shops, pubs, farms & workshops.
- • Connectivity for vans, trucks, campers & mobile crews.
- • IoT-ready access for cameras, sensors & smart devices.
Final product mix depends on provider agreements. The goal: one simple, safe network family that follows you across the border.
Who SmartNet is for
From quiet living rooms to busy yards and border roads.
SmartNet is designed for the real Borderlands – places where fibre is patchy, providers change at the bridge and people still need safe, stable connections.
Homes & seniors
Filtered WiFi for families and seniors – protected from brutal content and scams, with patient local support and optional pre-configured phones.
Shops, pubs & nursing homes
Clean guest WiFi, stable card terminal connections and safe browsing zones for residents, guests and staff – without turning staff into network admins.
Vans, trucks & mobile crews
Connectivity for trades vans, parcel services, agri contractors, mobile mechanics and drivers who cross the border daily and still need to stay online.
Borderlands & partner network
SmartNet for partners – your micro carrier for IoT & cross-border services.
SmartNet is planned as a partner-friendly solution: you bring your customers, I bring the network design, safe profiles and support. Together we make the Borderlands more connected – and safer.

How SmartNet works
Border-safe connectivity in three calm steps.
No giant telecom project. We start small, understand your use cases and build a setup that can grow later – from one router to a full micro carrier model.
Step 1 · Border use case check
Understand where & how you connect
We look at your locations, vehicles, devices and risks: who needs safe internet, where do you cross the border and what must never go offline.
Step 2 · Design & provider selection
Pick the right mix with you
Together we choose routers, repeaters, possible mobile bundles and filters. Provider agreements (e.g. with Novatel and others) are clarified in this step.
Step 3 · Install, test & handover
Set up, test and train calmly
We install or supervise installation, run tests (including border crossings if needed) and leave you with clear profiles and simple “what to do when…” guides.
SmartNet is currently in build-up. Early conversations help shape the product – if you have an interesting use case, you can influence how the Border Network grows.
